Gleamstack

Gleamstack is a block puzzle you can pick up in a second and keep playing for months. You're offered three pieces at a time. Drag them onto the 8x8 board, and the moment a row or column is full it shatters in a sweep of light and a shower of glassy shards. Place all three and three more arrive. When none of your pieces fit anywhere, the run is over.

The trick is the combo. Clear a line at least once every three placements and your multiplier keeps climbing, with bigger and brighter callouts as it goes: Sweet, Brilliant, Dazzling, Radiant and beyond. Clear two, three or four lines with one piece for a Double, Triple or Quadruple, and wipe the whole board for a Spotless bonus.

Classic is endless: chase your best score while the pieces get tougher. Adventure has 84 goal levels across seven worlds, from the Moonlit Grotto to the Starfall Crown, where you collect gems by clearing the lines they sit in, crack blocks frozen in ice and hit target scores, earning up to three stars on each. The Daily puzzle is the same board and goal for everyone, every day, and keeps a streak going.

Every point you score in any mode counts towards nine unlockable themes, from Velvet Night and Candy Glass to Neon Arcade, Gilded and Nebula. Each one restyles the jelly, the lacquered board and the glowing pool beneath it. Run out of room? Once per run you can take a short break to blast a 3x3 hole and carry on.

It's real-time 3D with glossy jelly blocks, soft shadows, bloom and a gentle synthesised soundtrack, and it plays in portrait or landscape with touch, mouse or keyboard.
