Through Ball

Through Ball is top-down five-a-side football played with your finger. Drag from any of your players and they set off along the line you draw, bending their runs naturally and sitting just off the line, the same way the planes do in Tailhook. Drag from the player on the ball and they dribble it along your route.

Tap a team-mate to pass to them (the pass leads them if they're running), or tap open grass for a through ball that your nearest player chases down. To shoot, press and hold where you want the ball to go and let go: the longer you hold, the harder it's struck, and hold too long and it sails over. Right-click or the space bar work too.

Your players tackle on their own, and how often they win it depends on their skill against the dribbler's. Choose how much help you get: Full Assist has your team press the ball and finish when they're through on goal, Some leaves the shooting to you, and Off leaves the pressing to you as well. Keepers are AI, and Amateur, Pro and World Class change how sharp the opposition is.

Eight clubs, four green pitches that each play differently (Sunday Park, The Cage under floodlights with bouncy boards, the slick Grand Stadium and the Mudbath Rec, where the mud slows everything down), quick matches of two, four or six minutes, and a three-round Cup with golden goals. Plays in landscape or portrait with the whole pitch always in view.
