About this game
Ten columns, a hundred and four cards and a branch across the top of a moonlit table, and strung from the branch, a web with somebody at home. Her name is Silka. Finish a run from King down to Ace in one suit and she scuttles down the table, lashes the thirteen cards together with silk, wraps them into a cocoon and hauls it up into her web. That is the foundation, and it grows: every run you clear adds more spiral and more dew.
The rules are classic Spider Solitaire. Any card can go on one a rank higher; a group only moves together if it is a run in one suit; an empty column takes anything; and, as in the original, you cannot deal while a column is empty. Play with one suit for a gentle evening, two for a tangle, or all four if you want a real fight. Undo is unlimited, hints come with a strand of silk pointing the way, and once nothing is face down Silka finishes the web for you.
Silk mode is the twist. Two threads hang from the branch, and you can hang a single card from one to get it out of the way. Each card you hang costs a spool of silk. You start with one, and every run you finish spins another. Spend it on the buried King that is ruining your game, or save it for something worse. Switch to Classic for the original rules.
The cards are drawn by hand in code: a tarantula King in an ermine collar, an orb-weaver Queen with a necklace of dew, and a jumping-spider Jack with enormous eyes and a needle for a sword. It plays well on a phone held upright, and just as well with a mouse.
